Dinosaur Game Not Working? Every Fix That Helps

The dinosaur game is famously unbreakable — it runs with no internet at all — so when it won't start, the cause is almost always one of a short list. Work down these fixes.

chrome://dino won't open

Space bar doesn't start the game

The page needs keyboard focus: click once on the game area (or the error page), then press space. On this site, click or tap the game canvas first — browsers only send keys to the game after you've interacted with it. If space scrolls the page instead, that's the same focus issue.

The dino appears but won't run (offline page)

If you see the dino with a "No internet" message but pressing space does nothing, the page may have partially loaded from cache. Reload while still offline (F5), then press space. On phones, tap directly on the dinosaur.

Game is choppy or frozen

High score vanished

Scores live in your browser's storage on that device. Clearing site data, switching browsers or private windows resets them — nothing is broken. Details in the scores and records post.
